NFL Picks - Week 8

Yup, we're back!  Don't know how good we are at it, but we're back nonetheless!

Dolphins at Patriots (Thursday 8:25pm)
Dan Campbell has the Dolphins on the fire with two blowout wins to start the post-Philbin era.  Those were against the Titans and Texans, so vs. the undefeated Patriots in Foxboro should be a better barometer on where Miami stands. Plus, Tom Brady's 8-0 on Thursday nights.
Winner: Patriots

Lions vs. Chiefs in London (Sunday 9:30am)
The final London gave of the year gives us more bad sub .500 teams to watch early on Sunday morning.  Lions coach Jim Caldwell is on the hot seat. Go with the more desperate team here.
Winner: Lions

Bucs at Falcons (Sunday 1pm)
You'd expect this to be one in which the Falcons get back to their normal selves after two games (loss to Saints / win over Titans) that they didn't look terribly well in.
Winner: Falcons

Chargers at Ravens (Sunday 1pm)
Before the season, this could've been a playoff preview. Now, it's just two teams looking to get through a Sunday not losing.
Winner: Chargers

Vikings at Bears (Sunday 1pm)
Don't look now, but the Vikings are living up to their hype (4-2).  Good D, AP runs the ball and Teddy Bridgewater manages the game.
Winner: Vikings

Cardinals at Browns (Sunday 1pm)
Typical trap game here for Cardinals after a MNF win and now on the road against the Browns. But, too much D for Arizona.
Winner: Cardinals

Titans at Texans (Sunday 1pm)
If it's the only game on your TV, you might want to turn it off.
Winner: Texans

Giants at Saints (Sunday 1pm)
Don't look now, part 2 - things are suddenly look up for the Saints after back-to-back wins.
Winner: Saints

Bengals at Steelers (Sunday 1pm)
Game of the day here as Ben Rothlisberger returns for the Steelers after his knee injury.  To take the Bengals seriously, Cincy needs to go into Pittsburgh and take care of the AFC North business. Steelers seem to have Andy Dalton's number, winning 6 of 8 against him.
Winner: Steelers

49ers at Rams (Sunday 1pm)
Two teams going in completely opposite directions. Rams have Todd  Gurley and a ferocious front 7. Enough said.
Winner: Rams

Jets at Raiders (Sunday 4:05pm)
Game of the day, part 2.  True test for the Jets to see if they can put a tough Patriots loss behind them and go on the road against an explosive Raiders offense.
Winner: Raiders

Seahawks at Cowboys (Sunday 4:25pm)
Will we get Dez Bryant back for the 'Boys? QB Matt Cassel sure hopes so. 10 days off and a better team says Seattle makes it two in a row.
Winner: Seahawks

Packers at Broncos (Sunday 8:30pm)
Game of the day, part 3 - Battle of the unbeatens! The question is can the past keep up with the present, as in can Peyton Manning keep up with Aaron Rodgers?
Winner: Packers

Colts at Panthers (Monday 8:30pm)
Suddently, the train is off the track for the Colts.  Suddenly, the Panthers can do no wrong. Neither should change Monday night in Charlotte.
Winner: Panthers
