Cardinals at Rams (Thursday 8:25pm)

Winner: Rams

Dolphins at Patriots (Sunday 1pm)

It's a hat and t-shirt game for the Patriots and they rarely lose when presented a chance to clinch a Division Title.
Winner: Patriots

Steelers at Falcons (Sunday 1pm)

The Steelers are so up and down that after last Sunday's rout in Cincy, it's time for them to stink it up.
Winner: Falcons

Consider this a semi-bye week for Baltimore.
Winner: Ravens

Packers at Bills (Sunday 1pm)

This will be tougher than you think for Green Bay.  Just ask the Broncos.

Sadly, the Panthers continue to be in the race with a win here.  Win it for Cam, they say!
Winner: Panthers

Cowboys at Bears (Thursday 8:25pm)

It's already playoff time for Dallas. Must win for Bears too - just to be relevant.
Winner: Cowboys

Steelers at Bengals (Sunday 1pm)

The Bengals lead the division at 8-3-1, but do you really trust them in a big spot?
Winner: Bengals

Colts at Browns (Sunday 1pm)

Everything says Colts here.  So.....
Winner: Browns

Bucs at Lions (Sunday 1pm)

Finally, the Lions get a breather.
Winner: Lions

Texans at Jaguars (Sunday 1pm)

Do you really think Ryan Fitzpatrick can throw 5 TD's again?
Winner: Jaguars

Ravens at Dolphins (Sunday 1pm)

Loser is probably out of the mix in the AFC Playoff Race. Huge loss for Baltimore not having Haloti Ngata (PED suspension).
Winner: Dolphins

Jets at Vikings (Sunday 1pm)

Will Rex Ryan let Geno Smith throw the ball this week?
Winner: Vikings

Panthers at Saints (Sunday 1pm)

New Orleans finally looked like itself last Sunday at Pittsburgh. Reality or just a mirage?
Winner: Saints

Giants at Titans (Sunday 1pm)

It's just not the G-Men's season is it?!
Winner: Titans

Rams at Redskins (Sunday 1pm)

St.Louis routed the Raiders, 52-0 last Sunday.  Back to reality this Sunday?
Winner: Rams

Chiefs at Cardinals (Sunday 4pm)

Good spot for the Cards to get the ship righted.
Winner: Cardinals

Bills at Broncos (Sunday 4pm)

Denver may not need to throw a pass in this one. Run left.  Run right.  Run middle.
Winner: Broncos

49ers at Raiders (Sunday 4:25pm)

Maybe Oakland could trade for Jim Harbaugh during the middle of this one and save us all the rumor mill for the next 2 months.
Winner: 49ers

Seahawks at Eagles (Sunday 4:25pm)

Game of the day, part 1.  If Seattle is really back, this one will prove it.
Winner: Eagles

Patriots at Chargers (Sunday 8:30pm)

Game of the day, part 2.  Playoff lives and seeding on the line.  Should be a shootout!
Winner: Patriots

Falcons at Packers (Monday 8:30pm)

Atlanta slayed the first place Cards last Sunday. There will be no such luck heading into Mr. Rodgers' neighborhood on Monday night.

NFL Picks - Week 13

Don't forget to play CW28's Pro Football Picks Contest to win a trip to Hawaii, plus weekly prizes of a $20 gift card to Boneyard Barbecue and SaloonClick here to enter now, powered by Rhode Island Comic Con!

Bears at Lions (Thursday 12:30pm)

The question is where did the Lions offense go and when is it coming back?
Winner: Lions

Eagles at Cowboys (Thursday 4:30pm)

Winner moves ahead in the race for the NFC North.  Do you trust Mark Sanchez in a big spot?
Winner: Cowboys

Seahawks at 49ers (Thursday 8:30pm)

Seattle seemingly has its swag back after knocking off the Cardinals last Sunday. The loser here most likely doesn't make the playoffs.
Winner: 49ers

Chargers at Ravens (Sunday 1pm)

Two teams going opposite directions.
Winner: Ravens

Browns at Bills (Sunday 1pm)

Six feet of snow might have been the best thing that happened to the Bills.
Winner: Bills

Titans at Texans (Sunday 1pm)

Ryan Fitzpatrick is back at QB for Houston now that Ryan Mallett is out for the year. It shouldn't matter who's at QB vs. Titans.
Winner: Texans

Redskins at Colts (Sunday 1pm)

So much for RG III vs. Andrew Luck. RG III's days in Dc are done, so it seems.
Winner: Colts

Giants at Jaguars (Sunday 1pm)

The Giants aren't very good.  The Jaguars are worse.
Winner: Giants

Panthers at Vikings (Sunday 1pm)

Avoid watching this one at all costs.
Winner: Vikings

Saints at Steelers (Sunday 1pm)

So, the Saints lose back-to-back games at home to AFC teams and now they get to go outside in the cold in Pittsburgh! Good luck with that New Orleans.
Winner: Steelers

Raiders at Rams (Sunday 1pm)

The Rams get the moniker of the best 4-7 team of the year so far. If nothing else, this will be a hard fought game on both sides.
Winner: Rams

Bengals at Bucs (Sunday 1pm)

Time for Cincy to exert themselves as the contender they think they are.
Winner: Bengals

Cardinals at Falcons (Sunday 4pm)

Even without a #1 qb and quality running game, the Cards are better than the first place (yes, 4-7 first place) Falcons. A loss and the Cards could be looking at coming back to Atlanta in the playoffs.
Winner: Cardinals

Patriots at Packers (Sunday 4:25pm)

Game of the year candidate! Who will make the mistake - Brady or Rodgers?
Winner: Patriots

Broncos at Chiefs (Sunday 8:30pm)

Will the real KC team stand up? The confident, methodical 7-3 team or the no-show team that lost in Oakland.
Winner: Chiefs

Dolphins at Jets (Monday 8:30pm)

If the Miami have any sights set on the playoffs, this should be a cakewalk against a Jets team that quit on Rex Ryan last Monday night.
Winner: Dolphins

Chiefs at Raiders (Thursday 8:25pm)

The Raiders may not go 0-16, but they won't win this week.
Winner: Chiefs

Lions at Patriots (Sunday 1pm)

The Patriots just beat the AFC's best in Denver and Indy, they won't blow it against a Detroit team averaging 15 points on the road.
Winner: Patriots

Browns at Falcons (Sunday 1pm)

How is Atlanta the first place team in this battle? Welcome back Josh Gordon!
Winner: Falcons

Bucs at Bears (Sunday 1pm)

How can the Bucs only be 2 games out of first place?
Winner: Bears

Bengals at Texans (Sunday 1pm)

The Bengals were supposed to win two weeks ago & lost.  They were supposed to lose last week & won. They should win this week. Get the point?
Winner: Texans

Jaguars at Colts (Sunday 1pm)

The Colts will be so happy to NOT see Jonas Gray this Sunday!
Winner: Colts

Jets vs. Bills (Sunday 1pm)
As of Thursday night, we still didn't know where this game was going to be played due to the Buffalo snowstorm. YIKES! Who needs to prep, right?
Winner: Bills

Packers at Vikings (Sunday 1pm)

The only question is will Green Bay score 50 for the third straight week.
Winner: Packers

Titans at Eagles (Sunday 1pm)

The Sanchize will be back this week against a porous Titans D.
Winner: Eagles

Rams at Chargers (Sunday 4pm)

If I'm San Diego, I'd be scared of this one.
Winner: Chargers

Cardinals at Seahawks (Sunday 4pm)

It's a shame that most of the country won't see this week's best game.
Winner: Seahawks

Dolphins at Broncos (Sunday 4:25pm)

Sorry Dolphins, but you're paying for the embarassment in St.Louis last week. Maybe Denver will get more injuries.
Winner: Broncos

Redskins at 49ers (Sunday 4:25pm)

Sorry RGIII, things won't get better this week.
Winner: 49ers

Cowboys at Giants (Sunday 8:30pm)

The Giants are that bad, it seems. Let's keep it competitive Cowboys to suit SNF.
Winner: Cowboys

Ravens at Saints (Sunday 8:30pm)

What has happened to that vaunted Saints offense? If they can't score against Cincy, how can they score against the Ravens?
Winner: Ravens

NFL Picks - Week 11

Don't forget to play our Pro Football Picks Contest to win a trip to Hawaii, plus weekly prizes of a $20 gift card to Boneyard Barbecue and SaloonClick here to enter now, powered by Rhode Island Comic Con!

Bills at Dolphins (Thursday 8:25pm)
Winner stays alive, loser is out of the AFC Playoffs.  These are the games the Dolphins usually lose.
Winner: Dolphins

Falcons at Panthers (Sunday 1pm)
As hard as it is to believe, the winner here keeps a good shot at the NFC South Title. Yikes! Cam Newton says he's hurt. We're hurt by watching him lately.
Winner: Falcons

Vikings at Bears (Sunday 1pm)
Can it get any worse for the Bears?
Winner: Bears

Texans at Browns (Sunday 1pm)
Call this one Brady Back-up I - Mallett vs. Hoyer.  Yes, the Browns control their own destiny, as hard as that is to believe.
Winner: Browns

Seahawks at chiefs (Sunday 1pm)
One of the tougher games to call this weekend. KC has rolled at home (minus Week 1), but Seattle seems to gotten its schwag back.
Winner: Chiefs

Bengals at Saints (Sunday 1pm)
Brees vs. Dalton.  Who are you takin - seriously!
Winner: Saints

49ers at Giants (Sunday 1pm)
SF saved their season with Colin Kaepernick's Hail Mary 4th and 10 prayer that was answered by Michael Crabtree last Sunday in New Orleans.
Winner: 49ers

Broncos at Rams (Sunday 1pm)
I"m sure Shaun Hill is thrilled he gets his starting QB job back the same week Denver comes to town!
Winner: Broncos

Bucs at Redskins (Sunday 1pm)
If you have to watch this game, the NFL should apologize to you.
Winner: Redskins

Raiders at Chargers (Sunday 4pm)
The Chargers desperately needed the bye week to forget about a 3 game losing streak and a 37-0 pasting at Miami. Here comes the winless Raiders.  Stay classy San Diego!
Winner: Chargers

Lions at Cardinals (Sunday 4:25pm)
Could be the game of the day.  Too bad Carson Palmer's torn ACL keeps him out here. Statement game for both teams.
Winner: Cardinals

Eagles at Packers (Sunday 4:25pm)
Light 'em up at Lambeau!
Winner: Packers

Patriots at Colts (Sunday 8:30pm)
Cutler and Manning down.  Luck this week. Stafford, Rodgers and Rivers up next.  New England's murderous road of QB opponents continues. Can Luck survive Revis Island?
Winner: Colts

Steelers at Titans (Monday 8:30pm)
Pittsburgh is 6-4 with losses to the Jets and Bucs, who have a combined 3 wins. Yes, they should be worried about the 2-7 Titans.

NFL Picks - Week 10

Don't forget to play our Pro Football Picks Contest to win a trip to Hawaii, plus weekly prizes of a $20 gift card to Boneyard Barbecue and SaloonClick here to enter now, powered by Rhode Island Comic Con!
Browns at Bengals (Thursday 8:25pm)
These two teams haven't met this late in the season with both teams having a winning record since the mid 80's. Tells you how much each side needs this win.
Winner: Bengals

Titans at Ravens (Sunday 1pm)

The Ravens will be hurting after Sunday night's bruising loss to the Steelers, but it won't take much to top Tennessee.
Winner: Ravens

Chiefs at Bills (Sunday 1pm)

This should be a suprisingly entertaining game. Chiefs D should do just enough.
Winner: Chiefs

Dolphins at Lions (Sunday 1pm)

Calvin Johnson's back for Detroit and that means matchup woes for Miami.
Winner: Lions

Cowboys vs. Jaguars in London (Sunday 1pm)

It looks like Tony Romo will play for Dallas, which should mean a pedestrian win for the 'Boys.
Winner: Cowboys

49ers at Saints (Sunday 1pm)

What has happened in SF? They're 4-4 and as Ron Burgundy would say "that escalated quickly."
Winner: Saints

Steelers at Jets (Sunday 1pm)

12 TD's for Big Ben in the last two weeks. Woeful secondary for NY.  Sounds like it will be a mismatch.  But it won't be. Closer than you think.
Winner: Steelers

Falcons at Bucs (Sunday 1pm)

Atlanta hasn't won since they put 56 against the Bucs in week 3. Time to bookend those wins.
Winner: Falcons

Broncos at Raiders (Sunday 4pm)

Just what the doctor ordered for the Broncos after a full thumping in Foxboro last Sunday.
Winner: Broncos

Rams at Cardinals (Sunday 4:25pm)

The Cardinals are the best team in the NFL, hands down, right now. But beware, this has trap game written all over it.  Just ask the 49ers!
Winner: Cardinals

Giants at Seahawks (Sunday 4:25pm)

Tough week for the G-Men! Get blown out by the Colts on Monday night and then fly 3,000 miles to Seattle to get blown out by the Seahawks.
Winner: Seahawks

Bears at Packers (Sunday 8:30pm)

Packers whooped Bears in Chicago.  Why expect anything different in Green Bay?
Winner: Packers

Panthers at Eagles (Sunday 8:30pm)

The Mark Sanchez experiment continues in Philly.  Can Chip Kelly make any QB look good?
Winner: Eagles

Saints at Panthers (Thursday 8:25pm)

Amazing that the team that wins here takes over the lead in the NFC South - at .500!
Winner: Saints

Jaguars at Bengals (Sunday 1pm)

Maybe the Jags are the remedy for what ails the Bengals these days.
Winner: Bengals

Bucs at Browns (Sunday 1pm)

The road back continues for Cleveland.
Winner: Browns

Cardinals at Cowboys (Sunday 1pm)

The huge wildcard is will QB Tony Romo play or not (back). If not, the Boys could suffer back-to-back home losses.
Winner: Cowboys (if Romo plays) / Cardinals (if Romo doesn't)

Eagles at Texans (Sunday 1pm)

Can the Texans score enough points to keep up? Not liking their chances there.
Winner: Eagles

Jets at Chiefs (Sunday 1pm)

Tough spot for Michael Vick to regain his starting job.
Winner: Chiefs

Chargers at Dolphins (Sunday 1pm)

Suddenly, the Bolts look beatable after two straight divisional losses (KC, Denver).  Time to change that.
Winner: Chargers

Redskins at Vikings (Sunday 1pm)

To RG III or not to RG III.  This is the question for Washington.
Winner: Redskins

Rams at 49ers (Sunday 4pm)

Can't see the Niners, coming off the bye, letting this chance slip by to maintain pace in the NFC West.
Winner: 49ers

Broncos at Patriots (Sunday 4:25pm)

Brady vs. Manning 16! Home team has won 10 of 15, so Pats find a way in this one.
Winner: Patriots

Raiders at Seahawks (Sunday 4:25pm)

The road to win number one continues and it won't have a pitstop this week.
Winner: Seahawks

Ravens at Steelers (Sunday 8:30pm)

Can't see anyway Big Ben and the boys put up 51 again this week, but they'll score enough.
Winner: Steelers

Colts at Giants (Monday 8:30pm)

Homecoming for RB Ahmad Bradshaw and WR Hakeem Nicks, plus the Colts are still smarting from the 51 the Steelers pasted on them last Sunday.
Winner: Colts

WWE Hell in a Cell PPV Predictions

Two Hell in the Cell matches, but I'm guessing no blood or gore - too bad, it needs it!

Hell in a Cell #1 Contender’s Match: John Cena vs. Randy Orton
Rumors that Randy Orton's back may limit or eliminate this match entirely.  Either way, it's Cena vs. Lesnar at The Rumble and Orton becomes a babyface (maybe costs Seth Rollins his match?)
Winner: John Cena

Hell in a Cell Match: Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins
Match of the night if they let them go. Orton interference, if he's healthy?
Winner: Dean Ambrose
WWE United States Title Match: Sheamus vs. The Miz
Does anyone really care about this feud at all?
Winner: New Champ - The Miz (it's his turn this week)

Best of Three Falls Intercontinental Title Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro
Bippity boppity boo. Match will be good. Cesaro gets a title too!
Winner: New I-C Champ (much to my chagrin) Cesaro

WWE Divas Title Match: AJ Lee vs. Paige
I'd rather see them in a Hell in a Cell than Orton/Cena.
Winner: AJ Lee (but with enough to keep the feud going)

WWE Tag Team Title Match: Goldust & Stardust vs. The Usos
Haven't we seen this one 1,000 times before? I'm hoping The Wyatts/Ascention interfere to spur a Survivor Series type match.
Winner: Goldust & Stardust
The Loser Becomes The Winner’s Assistant For 30 Days: Nikki Bella vs. Brie Bella
It's so much more interesting if Nikki wins. Otherwise, I really don't care.
Winner: Nikki Bella

Big Show vs. Rusev
Let's be honest, they're not letting Rusev lose here.
Winner: Rusev

San Diego plays well in Denver, but they're a little too beat up to do it this week.

What has happened to that once vaunted Falcons offense? Maybe they'll find it in England!
Winner: Falcons

Heavy rain expected, so expect a wet, soggy, slug-it-out affair in Foxboro. It'll be close for sure.
Winner: Patriots

Falcons at Ravens (Sunday 1pm)

Joe Flacco dreams of repeating his first 16 minutes from Tampa last Sunday. It won't be 5 TD's, but it'll be good enough.
Winner: Ravens

Vikings at Bills (Sunday 1pm)

Oh what might have been for these two teams.
Winner: Bills

Dolphins at Bears (Sunday 1pm)

At least the Dolphins won't have to be worried about getting duped again by Aaron Rodgers' fake spike.
Winner: Bears

Saints at Lions (Sunday 1pm)

Even without Megatron, the Lions should have enough against the underachieving road Saints.
Winner: Lions

Panthers at Packers (Sunday 1pm)

The biggest question mark is can the Packers get Eddie Lacy back on track?
Winner: Packers

Bengals at Colts (Sunday 1pm)

What has happened to the Bengals defense - MIA the past two weeks?! Andrew Luck won't help answer that this Sunday.
Winner: Colts

Browns at Jaguars (Sunday 1pm)

Winner: Browns

Seahawks at Rams (Sunday 1pm)

Seattle will not be happy going into this one.  Sorry St.Louis!

A couple of weeks ago, Kirk Cousins was the golden child.  Now, there are Colt McCoy whispers.  At least, he'll get a reprieve with the Titans in town.
Winner: Redskins

Chiefs at Chargers (Sunday 4pm)

San Diego survived their trap game last week in Oakland.  Eyes should be wide open this week.
Winner: Chargers

Giants at Cowboys (Sunday 4:25pm)

When will the bottom fall out on the surprisingly 5-1 Cowboys? The wait continues...

Panthers at Bengals (Sunday 1pm)

Will there be a Sunday night hangover for Bengals from the drubbing at the hands of the Pats or was it a wake-up call?
Winner: Bengals

Steelers at Browns (Sunday 1pm)

The Steelers were lucky to fend off a furious Cleveland rally in week 1.  Browns have a little momentum after a 25-point comeback win in Tennessee last Sunday.

Miami head coach will reunite with his former Packer-mates.  Unfortunately, that includes QB Aaron Rodgers on the other side.

Vikings at Packers (Thursday 8:25pm)
Looks like no Teddy Bridgewater for the Vikes.  Packers offense looks to be headed in the right direction, which is bad news for Minnesota.
Winner: Packers

Bears at Panthers (Sunday 1pm)

This could be a cure-all game for the Bears after a turnover-filled loss to the Packers last Sunday.
Winner: Bears

Browns at Titans (Sunday 1pm)

The Titans have the 3rd worst point differential in the NFL (-50). It'll get worse after this one.

Rams at Eagles (Sunday 1pm)

Time for the Eagles to get LeSean McCoy right this week.
Winner: Eagles

Falcons at Giants (Sunday 1pm)

Back-to-back road games for the Falcons plus 10 days of rest for the Giants could spell doom for Atlanta.

Buccaneers at Saints (Sunday 1pm)

Congratulations Tampa Bay! For your upset win in Pittsburgh, you get the Saints in the Dome after a brutal Sunday night loss in Dallas. Ouch!

Texans at Cowboys (Sunday 1pm)

If you guessed that both of these teams would be 3-1 at this point, you're lying.
Winner: Cowboys

Bills at Lions (Sunday 1pm)

It's already panic time in Buffalo with the benching of EJ Manuel.  What will they do after losing in Detroit?
Winner: Lions

Ravens at Colts (Sunday 1pm)

Baltimore's past meet's Baltimore's present.  The Colts just aren't that good.
Winner: Ravens

Steelers at Jaguars (Sunday 1pm)

Thank you NFL, says Steelers Nation.
Winner: Steelers

Cardinals at Broncos (Sunday 4pm)

This will be closer than you think.  Could be decided late in the 4th quarter if Drew Stanton can keep the Cards turnover free.
Winner: Broncos

Chiefs at 49ers (Sunday 4:25pm)

The Chiefs pleasant dreams from Monday night will be woken up hard by the Bay, courtesy of a heavy dose of Frank Gore!
Winner: 49ers

Jets at Chargers (Sunday 4:25pm)

Phillip Rivers for MVP?
Winner: Chargers

Bengals at Patriots (Sunday 4:25pm)

Well the entire NFL goes on way, be sure to go the other.  Everyone's off the Patriots wagon this week.
Winner: Patriots

Seahawks at Redskins (Monday 8:30pm)

At least Washington, DC has the Nationals this week.
Winner: Seahawks

Byes: Dolphins, Raiders

Last week: 7-6

Giants at Redskins (Thursday 8:25pm)
The Giants offense has gotten better.  The question is whether the Redskins can continue to roll up over 400 yards a week against the Giants defense.
Winner: Redskins

Packers at Bears (Sunday 1pm)

How bad did the Green Bay offense look last week in Detroit? Just 7 points and a loss.
Winner: Bears

Bills at Texans (Sunday 1pm)

It's the Ryan Fitzpatrick reunion game.  Gifts will be INT's on both sides.
Winner: Texans

Titans at Colts (Sunday 1pm)

The Colts righted the ship last week in Jacksonville.  Now having said that, it was Jacksonville.
Winner: Colts

Panthers at Ravens (Sunday 1pm)

The Ravens continue the "us against the World tour."  So far, so good.  Plus, it doesn't hurt that former Panther now Raven Steve Smith wants revenge at any cost!
Winner: Ravens

Lions at Jets (Sunday 1pm)

All signs point to a Detroit win right? Well, you know when that happens, run the other way.
Winner: Jets

Buccaneers at Steelers (Sunday 1pm)

The aging Steelers defense should be licking their chops over this one.
Winner: Steelers

Dolphins at Raiders (Sunday 1pm)

The Dolphins don't want to commit to a QB.  The Raiders are banged up and playing a home game 5,345 miles from home in London.
Winner: Dolphins

Jaguars at Chargers (Sunday 4pm)

They may have to throw the ball 50 times without Danny Woodhead and Ryan Mathews, but that shouldn't be a problem for Philip Rivers as he faces Blake Bortles in his first NFL start.
Winner: Chargers

Eagles at 49ers (Sunday 4:25pm)

The Eagles mentality of coming from behind to win again will be tested against the suddenly offensively-challenged Niners.
Winner: 49ers

Falcons at Vikings (Sunday 4:25pm)

Can the Vikings score with Teddy Bridgewater?
Winner: Falcons

Saints at Cowboys (Sunday 8:30pm)

Winner: Cowboys

Patriots at Chiefs (Sunday 8:30pm)

Is this the week that Tom Brady resembles the QB he once was?
Winner: Patriots

Last week: 11-5
Season: 28-19

NFL Week 3 Picks

Don't forget to play CW28's Pro Football Picks Contest to win a trip to Hawaii, plus weekly prizes of a $20 gift card to Boneyard Barbecue and SaloonClick here to enter now!

Buccaneers at Falcons (Thursday 8:30pm)
Things should be a bit easier for Falcons after facing the Saints and Bengals to start the season. The Bucs, no without Doug Martin, have lost to two backup QB's at home.
Winner: Falcons

Raiders at Patriots (Sunday 1pm)

The Raiders look more lost than the Patriots looked in the second half in Miami week 1. Time to get that offense fixed Tom Brady!
Winner: Patriots

Chargers at Bills (Sunday 1pm)

How good to Phillip Rivers look against the Seahawks last week? We should know if the Bills are for real after this one.
Winner: Chargers

Cowboys at Rams (Sunday 1pm)

Raise your hand if you can figure out either of these two teams after two weeks.
Winner: Cowboys

Redskins at Eagles (Sunday 1pm)

No RG3, no problem for Redskins. Kirk Cousins will do just fine, but can they keep up with the Eagles who are just crushing in the 2nd half.
Winner: Eagles

Texans at Giants (Sunday 1pm)

Simply put, neither team is as good or bad as they've shown so far this season.  This is the definition of trap game.
Winner: Giants

Vikings at Saints (Sunday 1pm)

The Vikings (sans Adrian Peterson) are just what the doctor ordered for the 0-2 Saints.
Winner: Saints

Titans at Bengals (Sunday 1pm)

How disappointing were the Titans in a 26-10 home loss to Dallas? Bengals keep rollin' rollin' rollin'!
Winner: Bengals

Ravens at Browns (Sunday 1pm)

Quite possibly, the toughest pick of the week.
Winner: Browns

Packers at Lions (Sunday 1pm)

After facing the Seahawks and Jets front lines in the first two weeks, this will seem like summer vacation for Aaron Rodgers.
Winner: Packers

Colts at Jaguars (Sunday 1pm)

Must win for both.  OK, really just for the Colts since we know Jaguars are playing for 2015.
Winner: Colts

49ers at Cardinals (Sunday 4pm)

If Carson Palmer plays, it might be different, but it doesn't look that way.
Winner: 49ers

Broncos at Seahawks (Sunday 4:25pm)

Tough spot for the Broncos. Super Bowl rematch (a game they lost by 35 points) in hostile territory after the Hawks lost in San Diego last week.
Winner: Seahawks

Chiefs at Dolphins (Sunday 4:25pm)

The freefall continues for the Chiefs.
Winner: Dolphins

Steelers at Panthers (Sunday 8:30pm)

Can the aging Steelers keep Cam Newton in check?
Winner: Panthers

Bears at Jets (Sunday 8:30pm)

Primetime spot #2 after a huge comeback for the Bears in SF last Sunday night.  It won't be easy, but the Jets shouldn't have the firepower to keep up.
Winner: Bears

Last week: 6-9
Season: 17-14

NFL Week 2 Picks

Don't forget to play our Pro Football Picks Contest to win a trip to Hawaii, plus weekly prizes of a $20 gift card to Boneyard Barbecue and SaloonClick here to enter now!

Steelers at Ravens (Thursday 8:30pm)
With everything going on in Baltimore with the Ray Rice case, on the field the Ravens could be off to an 0-2 start at home and in the AFC North.
Winner: Steelers

Patriots at Vikings (Sunday 1pm)

Hard to believe the Pats playing as bad again as they did in the 2nd half in Miami last Sunday. But then again, how do the Pats stop Adrian Peterson?
Winner: Patriots

Dolphins at Bills (Sunday 1pm)

Good early season challenge for both 1-0 AFC East teams.  Huge early edge to the victor.
Winner: Bills

Jaguars at Redskins (Sunday 1pm)

Who will show up for the Jags - the 1st half team that bowled over Philly or the 2nd half team that got bowled over by Philly?
Winner: Jaguars

Cowboys at Titans (Sunday 1pm)

It's going to be a long year in Dallas.
Winner: Titans

Cardinals at Giants (Sunday 1pm)

Both teams on short weeks after playing on Monday night. Hard to see Eli and the boys getting it together against the active Arizona defense.
UPDATE (Sun 11:30am): No Carson Palmer at QB for Cardinals.  Huge break for Giants!
Winner: Giants

Falcons at Bengals (Sunday 1pm)

Both won in week 1.  Who's the contender and who's the pretender?
Winner: Bengals

Lions at Panthers (Sunday 1pm)

Cam Newton returns for the Panthers (ribs).  But, is that a good thing? He may not be able to keep up with Matthew Stafford and company.
Winner: Lions

Rams at Buccaneers (Sunday 4pm)

Anemic week 1 offenses meet in Tampa.
Winner: Bucs

Seahawks at Chargers (Sunday 4pm)

Congrats San Diego.  All you get for playing in the final game Monday night after blowing an 11-point fourth quarter lead in Arizona is to host the World Champs on 10 days rest.
Winner: Seahawks

Texans at Raiders (Sunday 4:25pm)

The Matt Schaub reunion bowl. Only one problem: Matt Schaub won't do much from the sidelines.  Neither will Jadaveon Clowney (knee).
Winner: Raiders

Jets at Packers (Sunday 4:25pm)

Good bet that Aaron Rodgers will use the whole field in this one.
Winner: Packers

Chiefs at Broncos (Sunday 4:25pm)

Sorry KC, it's your turn to play turnstile to Denver's offense this week.
Winner: Broncos

Bears at 49ers (Sunday 8:30pm)

If the Bears couldn't beat the Bills at home, what chance do you give them in the regular season opener against the 49ers?
Winner: 49ers

Eagles at Colts (Sunday 8:30pm)

Indy has problem on both sides of the ball. Can they keep up with Philly's tempo? Probably not.
Winner: Eagles

Last week: 11-5
Season: 11-5

Packers at Seahawks (Thursday 8:30pm)

Real refs this time.  Sorry Packers, same result!
Winner: Seahawks

Patriots at Dolphins (Sunday 1pm)

Every year is the year that the Dolphins will step up to challenge the Pats. Maybe it will start in game 2.
Winner: Patriots

Raiders at Jets (Sunday 1pm)

Rex Ryan will be touting his team as Super Bowl contenders after this one.
Winner: Jets

Saints at Falcons (Sunday 1pm)

It'll seem just like 2013 for the Falcons.  The misery continues.
Winner: Saints

Bengals at Ravens (Sunday 1pm)

The Ravens continue to be an enigma. Up/down/up/down.  This is the season the Bengals need to be dominant in the this division.
Winner: Bengals

Bills at Bears (Sunday 1pm)

Is there ever any hope in Buffalo?
Winner: Bears

Redskins at Texans (Sunday 1pm)

RG III meet the law firm of Watt & Clowney! Many times!
Winner: Texans

Titans at Chiefs (Sunday 1pm)

The Chiefs could be "that" team headed in the wrong direction in 2014.
Winner: Titans

Jaguars at Eagles (Sunday 1pm)

The Jags will be more physical and better.  They just can't keep up with the Eagles just yet.
Winner: Eagles

Browns at Steelers (Sunday 1pm)

Who's catching the ball for Cleveland?
Winner: Steelers

Vikings at Rams (Sunday 1pm)

We'll see if the Vikes are for real and a contender this year if they beat a team starting a backup QB on day 1.
Winner: Vikings

49ers at Cowboys (Sunday 4:25pm)

The Cowboys may be better than you think, but they're not 49ers good.
Winner: 49ers

Panthers at Bucs (Sunday 4:25pm)

The target of "most improved team" could be on the Bucs back by the end of the season.
Winner: Bucs

Colts at Broncos (Sunday 8:30pm)

Revenge is mine sayeth Peyton Manning.
Winner: Broncos

Giants at Lions (Monday 7:10pm)

It's going to be another long season for Tom Coughlin.
Winner: Lions

Chargers at Cardinals (Monday 10:20pm)

Stay up late Monday night. This one will be worth it in a shootout in the desert.
Winner: Cardinals

WWE Summerslam PPV Predictions

Bray Wyatt vs. Chris Jericho (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are banned from ringside)
Jericho has one more PPV left before he leaves again (Night of Champions). I think it's time for a new buzzard to help Bray out don't you think?
Winner: Bray Wyatt

Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton

This match will be better than you think.
Winner: Roman Reigns

Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon

I think it seems too easy for Brie to just step in and win. Sure, WWE could go that way, maybe have Daniel Bryan help the cause a little too. Or maybe, they extend this feud out a bit and have Nikki turn heel against Brie? But then again, sometime we over think these things.
Winner: Stephanie McMahon

Lumberjack Match: Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose

Match of the night right here. High spots, good ol' fashion brawlin' and more. Ambrose never "needs" to win, but it would sure be good to see it happen here.
Winner: Dean Ambrose

Flag Match: Jack Swagger vs. Rusev

Time for some good ol' USA magic. Swagger somehow gets the flag, but Rusev crushes him after that!
Winner: Jack Swagger

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler

If The Miz didn't just get the Title, I'd be pushing for a Ziggler win here. I just hope the feud continues.
Winner: The Miz

WWE Divas Title Match: AJ Lee vs. Paige

Doesn't Paige have to win at some point to keep her strong? I smell a quick win here to be negated Monday night on RAW
Winner: New Divas Champ Paige

WWE World Heavyweight Title Match: John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar

This will be brutal. Not as in brutally bad, but in brutally physical.
Winner: New WWE Champ Brock Lesnar

WWE Battleground PPV Predictions

Pre-Show: Naomi vs. Cameron
Yawn!!!!!! Flip a coin, it doesn't matter!
Winner: Naomi

Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose

Match of the Night candidate. Both guys will work their asses off. Expect Rollins to squeak out a victory but Ambrose to leave a mark.
Winner: Seth Rollins

Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt

Match of the Night candidate, part 2.  Great story to be told, but Wyatt needs the victory.
Winner: Bray Wyatt

WWE Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal

Participants include Cesaro, Kofi Kingston, Damien Sandow, The Great Khali, Rob Van Dam, Dolph Ziggler, Big E, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Bo Dallas, Fandango, Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio
Everyone expects Cesaro to win, but how about the last two being The Miz and Sheamus and a nice brogue kick to Miz' moneymaker to give Sheamus both US and I-C Belts!
Winner: New I-C Champion Sheamus

WWE Divas Championship: AJ vs. Paige

I like this feud.  Hopefully, it's not a short one. Teacher teaches pupil another lesson, but just barely.
Winner: AJ Lee

WWE Tag Team Championship Match (2/3 Falls): The Uso's vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan

Siimply put, it's time.  Time to put the belts on the Buzzards! It'll go 3 falls too in a very entertaining match.
Winner: New Tag Team Champions - Harper and Rowan

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns vs. Kane

The outcome is easy.  Plan B (ok, really plan C) is coming for Cena and his name is Brock Lesnar!
Winner: John Cena (and then a beatdown by Brock!)

Sunday, June 29, 2014

WWE Money in the Bank PPV Predictions

* Money in the Bank Ladder Match For WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio vs Bray Wyatt vs Cesaro vs John Cena vs Kane vs Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns vs Sheamus
It could be Reigns. It could be Orton. It could be Cena.  It could be Cesaro. It can't be Del Rio, Kane or Sheamus. It should be Bray Wyatt. It will, but it will be split.
Winner: World Champion John Cena / WWE Champion Bray Wyatt - can you say Championship Unification next month to set up Lesnar vs. Cena at Summerslam?!

* Money in the Bank Ladder Match for title shot: Bad News Barrett vs Dean Ambrose vs Dolph Ziggler vs Jack Swagger vs Kofi Kingston vs Rob Van Dam vs Seth Rollins

Bad News Barrett may not go in this one (shoulder). I would expect Ambrose to cost Rollins the contract and hopefully, after a long time coming, Ziggler gets his push.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler

* WWE Tag Team Championship: The Usos (C) vs The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper & Erick Rowan)

It's Title Night for the Buzzards!
Winner: New Champions The Wyatt Family

* WWE Divas Championship: Paige (c) vs Naomi

Cameron costs Naomi the Title. Pretty simple stuff here.
Winner: Paige

* Special Guest Referee Fandango: Summer Rae vs Layla

Winner: Fandango....OK, Summer Rae

* Rybaxel (Ryback & Curtis Axel) vs Stardust and Goldust

The build up to the split continues.  A win with some friction.
Winner: Stardust & Goldust

* Rusev vs. Big E

Keep Big Rusev going!
Winner: Rusev

WWE Payback PPV Predictions

If only CM Punk would come back to screw Triple H in the Main Event.......

El Torito vs. Hornswoggle (Mask vs. Hair Match)

Torito lost his tail on RAW, balding time for Hornswoggle
Winner: El Torito

Big E vs. Rusev

Good battle of big men, but Rusev needs to stay undefeated.
Winner: Rusev

US Championship Match
Sheamus vs. Cesaro

Should be a decent match with Sheamus going over, but could we see the start of a double turn here?
Winner: Sheamus

Intercontinental Title Match
Bad News Barrett vs. Rob Van Dam

I've got Bad News for RVD. He's still not a Champion on Monday morning.
Winner: Bad News Barrett

Divas Championship Match
Paige vs. Alicia Fox

While I think Paige should get the win, don't be surprised if they give Alicia Fox a quick rub for the angry act only to have Paige win the title back on RAW.
Winner: New Champion Alicia Fox

Last Man Standing Match
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt

Expect chaos here with the Usos and Rowan & Harper to get involved right from the start. I'm hoping Wyatt gets the win just to keep the feud going through the Summer, but I think Cena answers the call - barely!
Winner: John Cena

No Holds Barred Elimination Match
The Shield vs. Evolution

Match of the night candidate! Reigns should be down 3-1 or 2-1 and comeback to get the win.  This could be Batista's swan song to promote his movie this Summer too.
Winner: The Shield

Stephanie McMahon vs. Daniel Bryan/Brie Bella

I'm thinking that Bryan tries to give up the WWE World Title for his new wife, but she gets involved in some physical action with "Daddy's Little Princess" and away we go. Bryan gets stripped and we get a Steph/Brie feud!
Winner: New WWE Champion TBD

Friday, May 23, 2014

Saturday, May 03, 2014

WWE Extreme Rules PPV Prediction

El Torito vs. Hornswoggle - Wee-LC Match
Does it really matter?
Winner: El Torito

Rob Van Dam vs. Cesaro vs. Jack Swagger

should be a pretty decent match heading towards an evenutal Cesaro/Swagger singles match
Winner: RVD

Handicap Match: Alexander Rusev vs. R-Truth and Xavier Woods

One word: squash
Winner: Alexander Rusel

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Big E vs. Bad News Barrett

Bad news: Mr. Barrett is your new I-C Champion, which is actually good news for the WWE Universe.  At least he has a personality, unlike Big E.
Winner: New I-C Champion Bad News Barrett

WWE Divas Title Match: Paige vs. Tamina Snuka

This is just taking up space until we get Paige vs. AJ Lee once she's done waxing CM Punk.
Winner: Paige

Steel Cage Match: John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt

Match of the night.  Wyatt gets his win in what should be a match of the year candidate. OK, I kid, but it should be really good.
Winner: Bray Wyatt

Evolution vs. The Shield

You gotta figure that Ric Flair comes in at some point to screw Evolution.  Batista's gone after this week to promote his movie, so conider him the weak link for now.
Winner: The Shield

WWE World Title Extreme Rules Match: Daniel Bryan vs. Kane

This will be better than you think with great physicality.  But there's no way in Hell that Kane walks out the Champ.  Expect a little Stephanie McMahon/Brie Bella involvement too!
Winner: Daniel Bryan

An Open Letter to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver

Dear NBA:

I just listened to your press conference by Commissioner Adam Silver. I get that you have be careful and use due process to address the Donald Sterling situation. You want to be careful with such an emotional issue as race relations and discrimination. If true, what Donald Sterling said as a white owner of a team with an African-American President of Basketball Operations/Head Coach and an all-star laden team led by a pair of African-American stars in Chris Paul and Blake Griffin is truly offensive, disturbing and ultimately, very sad. Now, having said that, there is only one punishment if you authenticate the audio. The franchise must be taken away.

Owning a pro sports team is a privelege, not a right. Mr. Silver, you work for the owners and it's time for those owners to step up and say no, not here, not us, not ever. This is not how we, the owners, the coaches, the players, the officials and the NBA act and think. Act swiftly and act responsibly Mr. Silver.

Finally, it there was one coach that could get an NBA team over an emotional issue like this in the midst of a playoff run, it's Doc Rivers. I would've loved to be in that room today (Saturday) as he addressed his team on how to deal with this and for the team's sake, move on and focus on the task at hand.
