Spurs/Heat for NBA TV Fan Night

 Penny Hardaway joins GameTime this weekend

NBA TV’s Fan Night presented by Sprint will feature the San Antonio Spurs taking on the Miami Heat on Tues., Jan. 17, at 7:30 p.m. (ET).  This match-up was selected by fans who voted via, NBA’s Facebook page and    

On Friday, January 13, former NBA All-Star Penny Hardaway will join the GameTime studio team with host Vince Cellini and analyst Chris Webber from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. (ET).   GameTime host Rick Kamla and analysts Steve Smith and Chris Webber will take over for the late broadcast.  On Saturday, Hardaway will be back in studio with host Matt Winer and analyst Dennis Scott with coverage beginning at 7 p.m. (ET) prior to NBA TV’s coverage of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.  The Lakers and Clippers will start at 10:30 p.m. (ET).  The GameTime studio team, with guest Hardaway, will conclude the evening with the GameTime postgame show.

Prior to tip off on Tues., Jan. 17, the Fan Night team with host Vince Cellini and analysts Greg Anthony and Chris Webber will be on-hand for the Pregame Show beginning at 7:00 p.m. (ET).  The Fan Night studio team will conclude the evening with a postgame recap featuring highlights from the evening’s match-ups followed by GameTime with host Rick Kamla and analyst Steve Smith.    

Fan Night voting will continue on, the NBA Facebook page and from Tues., Jan. 17 (8 a.m. ET) – Thurs., Jan. 19 (Midnight ET) as fans select the match-up for the next Fan Night on Tues., Jan. 24. Fans will have the opportunity to select among the following games:

  • New York Knicks @ Charlotte Bobcats
  • Orlando Magic @ Indiana Pacers
  • Cleveland Cavaliers @ Miami Heat
  • Toronto Raptors @ Phoenix Suns
  • Memphis Grizzlies @ Portland Trailblazers

The Jump presented by Sprint studio team with host Jared Greenberg and analysts Brent Barry, Dennis Scott and ‘chat-master’ Sekou Smith will jumpstart Tuesday evening’s basketball coverage with the live, interactive show sharing insights and predictions regarding the evening’s match-ups while interacting with fans who submit questions and comments via, Facebook or Twitter.  The Jump presented by Sprint will stream live on Jan. 17 at 3 p.m. (ET) on and will air at 6:00 p.m. (ET) on NBA TV. 

NBA TV will also feature live games this weekend leading up to Fan Night presented by Sprint on Tuesday.  The Los Angeles Lakers take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Sat., Jan. 14, at 10:30 p.m. (ET).  Part of NBA TV’s celebration of Martin Luther King Day, the network will broadcast the Toronto Raptors at Atlanta Hawks game on Mon., Jan. 16, at 4 p.m. (ET).
