NFL Week 13 Early Thoughts

As we head through week 13 of the NFL season, here are some early thoughts...

* Green Bay may have faced and overcome its toughest test on their way to a 16-0 season in its 38-35 thrilling last second win in NY against the Giants. Watching Aaron Rodgers run his team down the field in less than a minute for the win was simply awesome.

* The Cowboys missed a golden chance when head coach Jason Garrett iced his own kicker when his time out wiped out Dan Bailey's seeming game-winning 49-yard field goal. Yup, he missed the second kick and the Boys lost in overtime in Arizona.

* Maybe the Texans are for real, besting a tough Falcons team 17-10 with TJ Yates at QB and losing WR Andre Johnson again to injury.

* The Bears may be desperate for anything on offense not that RB Matt Forte, reported MCL tear, joins QB Jay Cutler (thumb) on the sidelines for an extended time.  A bad home loss to Kansas City didn't help matters either.

* Let's be honest, 31-24 doesn't really tell the story of the Patriots win over the Colts Sunday. The Pats were well in control 31-3 before relaxing in the second half.

* Baltimore got its running game going in Cleveland behind 204 yards by Ray Rice. If they can keep that up with a dominating defense, things could look scary in Baltimore come playoff team for the rest of the AFC.

* Can we call the Dolphins the best 4-8 team ever?

* Say it with me: Cam-Can! Cam-Can! Cam-Can! Cam Newton and the Panthers 38-19 win in Tampa behind 4 TD's from Mr. Newton.

* The Steelers are getting stronger, blowing out the Bengals 35-7, despite another sub-200 yard passing day (176 yards, 2 TD's) from QB Ben Roethlisberger.

* Congrats to the San Francisco 49ers - NFC West Champions!

* Last but certainly not least - Tebow-mania continues! Are you a believer yet? He aired it out for over 200 yards and brought his team back for yet another fourth quarter comeback (his fifth) in Denver's 35-32 victory in Minnesota. He's now 6-1 as a Broncos starter as Denver ties Oakland for the AFC West lead.  They hold that tiebreaker over the Raiders as well as the Wild Card tiebreaker against the Bengals. Be prepared to see the Broncos/Patriots flexed to Sunday night on December 18th!
