Papelbon suspended 3 games

Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon has been suspended three games by Major League Baseball for bumping umpire Tony Randazzo during Saturday's 9-8 win over Oakland.

Papelbon, who is appealing the suspension and will be in uniform Tuesday in New York against the Yankees, was ejected by Randazzo after the umpire thought he was complaining about balls and strikes during the ninth inning.
