Patriots get Solder and Saints trade

With their second first round pick, New England made their expected move trading the pick to New Orleans for the Saints second round pick (56) this year and their 1st round pick in 2012. New Orleans then used the pick to grab Alabama RB Mark Ingram.

The Patriots now have five picks in Friday's 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Solder is viewed as a good character guy, smart (20 out of 25 on the Wonderlic and a 3.52 GPA at Colorado) very big (6'8"), athletic (320lbs and 4.97 in the 40) and can team with Sebastian Volmer in possibly replacing Matt Light (free agent) on the Pats offensive line.
