CBS SPORTS NETWORK’S “ONE2ONE” INTERVIEW SERIES FEATURES BOSTON RED SOX PITCHER JOSH BECKETT

“ONE2ONE: Josh Beckett” Airs Friday, April 15 at 8:30 PM, ET

CBS Sports Network airs a special edition of the Network’s in-depth interview series ONE2ONE on Friday, April 15 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET), featuring two-time World Series Champion and current Boston Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett. James Bates conducts the interview.

Beckett discusses a range of topics, including his unique relationship with the Trinity University baseball program. Trinity University is a Division III school in San Antonio, Texas and has been the site of Beckett’s off-season workouts for the last six years. Beckett started working out at Trinity because of its low-profile location near his Texas ranch, and has become a place where he mentors young college pitchers and has forged strong relationships with the players.

He also talks about his Texas roots, his baseball idols growing up and his parents’ influence on his decision to pursue baseball.

ONE2ONE features personal sit-down interviews with the biggest names in sports. Since the show’s debut in December 2004, guests have included NFL Legend Dan Marino, Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino, NBA Commissioner David Stern, legendary Penn State football coach Joe Paterno and Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, among others.
