Year of the Quarterback: SportsCenter Special: Gruden’s QB Camp – The Draftees and Three for the Show

ESPN’s Year of the Quarterback initiative will continue this week with two new programs that draw back the curtain on one of the most critical, coveted and talked-about positions in all of sports. ESPN Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden conducts one-on-one film sessions and personal workouts with the top NFL Draft prospects in the hour-long SportsCenter Special: Gruden’s QB Camp – The Draftees on Thursday, April 21, at 7 p.m. on ESPN. The five prospects featured in this year’s special include: Andy Dalton (TCU), Blaine Gabbert (Missouri), Jake Locker (Washington), Ryan Mallett (Arkansas), and Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton (Auburn).

The first episode of Three for the Show will air Tuesday, April 19, at 8 p.m. on ESPN. The program chronicles the quest of three top Division I quarterbacks as they pursue their dream job of playing in the NFL. Cameras follow Newton, Locker, and Virginia Tech’s Tyrod Taylor from the final game of their collegiate careers all the way to draft night.  The program shows the ups, downs, and all the hard work in between. The remaining two episodes will air the next two Tuesdays (April 26 and May 3) on ESPN.
