The Red Sox will announce their long anticipated contract extension for slugger Adrian Gonzalez Friday, according to reports out of Boston this morning.
Gonzalez, acquired in a trade with San Diego in the off-season, will reportedly get a seven-year, $154 million extension on a contract that ends at the end of the 2011 season according to Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com
A press conference is slated for Friday afternoon at Fenway Park before the Blue Jays game.
