The Minnesota Vikings may have to miss a second game in Minnesota this Monday Night due to the MetroDome not being available after this past weekend's snowstorm. The team tentatively has plans to hold the Bears game this Monday Night at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium. But now the team has put that in question with the following statement this afternoon:
“NFL officials are touring TCF Bank Stadium to ensure its safety for our fans and its ability to meet the primary technical requirements for an NFL game,” the statement reads. “Ultimately the decision to relocate a game is the league’s in consultation with the two teams. The NFL supports the plan to play Monday night’s game at TCF Bank Stadium but is currently ensuring viability of this plan.”
UPDATE (5:23pm) - The Star-Tribune in Minneapolis reports that University of Minnesota officials say the game will definitely be played at their stadium. Read more here.
