Leonhard breaks leg - out for season

A break for the Jets turns into a break for the Patriots Monday night.

Jets safety Jim Leonhard breaks his leg in practice Friday and will miss the remainder of the season, including Monday night's game in Foxboro against the Patriots.  Leonhard is the on-field brains in the NY secondary, with Darrelle Revis being the braun of course.  He'll be replaced by Eric Smith while Jericho Cotchery will presumably take over his punt return duties.
