NBA: Red-Hot Teams Featured in Wednesday & Friday Doubleheaders
The Boston Celtics, currently riding a 10-game winning streak, will visit the New York Knicks, winners of eight in a row, Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. In the nightcap, the Dallas Mavericks, on a league-best 12-game winning streak, will host the Portland Trail Blazers at 9:30 p.m. Dan Shulman will call the Boston/New York game with analysts Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy and reporter Doris Burke. Dave Pasch will provide commentary for Portland/Dallas with analysts Hubie Brown and Jon Barry and reporter Heather Cox.
Additionally, the Miami Heat – winners of eight straight – will visit Madison Square Garden for the first time this season to face the Knicks on Friday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. Breen, Jackson, Van Gundy and Burke will provide commentary for the ESPN telecast. The game will also be the first NBA telecast on ESPN 3D. Mark Jones will be the voice of the 3D telecast with Barry. Following Heat/Knicks, ESPN will feature the Mavs hosting the Phoenix Suns at 10:30 p.m. Shulman will provide play-by-play with Brown and Cox.
All four games will be available via ESPN3.com and ESPN Mobile TV, with Friday’s doubleheader also seen on ESPN Deportes.
Also, ESPN Radio will broadcast the Denver Nuggets hosting the San Antonio Spurs, on a five-game winning streak, Thursday, Dec. 16, at 10 p.m.
