Talk about your busy Mondays! The Boston Red Sox have shelled out $100 million today to add pitcher John Lackey and outfielder Mike Cameron to the fold.
Can you say bye bye Jason Bay!
It's no coincidence either that on the same day that Lackey signs with the Sox, the Roy Halladay to the Phillies deal goes down, a move that also sends lefty Cliff Lee to Seattle in a blockbuster 3-team deal with the Jays.
All in all, Lackey gets $85 million over five years while Cameron gets $15 million over two seasons.
The next shoe to drop - Adrian Beltre to be signed and a Josh Beckett extension.
So, does a Cameron - Ellsbury - Drew outfield get you pumped up Red Sox Nation?
