Red Sox, Tigers and White Sox big winners on trade deadline day!

If you're a Sox fan, you're a happy fan tonight on this Friday MLB Trading Deadline Day.

In Chicago, the White Sox finally landed Jake Peavy in part deux of their trading with the Padres after Peavy finally said yes to the Windy City.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox make out like bandits, getting Victor Martinez from the Indians to help boost their sagging offense. Plus, Boston boosts its defense by acquiring Casey Kotchman from Atlanta for Adam LaRoche, who's stay in the American League lasts less than a month.

Now, Sox manager Terry Francona has the headache bringing task of fitting Mike Lowell/Victor Martinez/Jason Veritek/David Ortiz/Kevin Youkilis into four spots everyday. Good luck keeping the egos straight Tito.

In Detroit, Jarrod Washburn now calls the Tigers home after packing his bags from Seattle.

All this makes for a very interesting AL Playoff Race. Those hurt today - the Yankees, Rays and Rangers, who didn't make any moves of significance to make themselves better.

As for the biggest prize - Jays pitcher Roy Halladay - he gets to finish out the season playing for early October golf in Toronto.

Here's ESPN's baseball tonight crew with a breakdown...

Let the sprint to October begin!
