LOS ANGELES – FOXSports.com on MSN today announced that Jon Paul Morosi, Bob Klapisch and Sean McAdam have joined its All-Star roster of baseball writers, providing unique, in-depth coverage of the sport for the remainder of 2009 and beyond. Morosi joins the FOXSports.com staff full-time, while Klapisch and McAdam contribute columns on a regular basis.
“We are excited to build on our existing baseball coverage by adding three of the nation’s most respected baseball columnists,” said Stephen Miller, Managing Editor of FOXSports.com. “Morosi’s work in Detroit and the Pacific Northwest has earned him a reputation as one of the elite baseball writers in the country. Klapisch and McAdam are veterans and have intimate knowledge of the New York and Boston baseball markets respectively. They definitely enhance our ability to bring one-of-a-kind analysis to those dedicated fan bases.”
Morosi joins FOXSports.com directly from the Detroit Free-Press. He has also written for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the Bay City Times in Michigan and the Oregonian in Portland.
“FOXSports.com continues to develop innovative ways to provide relevant and fresh content for users,” said Morosi. “Joining this great team of writers is an exciting next step in my career and I look forward to reaching a broader national audience.”
Klapisch covers baseball for the Record in New Jersey and spent time at the New York Post and New York Daily News. The author of five books, he was recently voted a top-five columnist in the country by the Associated Press Sports Editors. McAdam has covered baseball for 21 years. He writes for the Boston Herald and has also worked at the Providence Journal. McAdam contributes frequently to WEEI Radio in Boston, Comcast Sports New England and WBZ-TV. Both writers continue to write for their current publications while now providing unique material for FOXSports.com regularly.
All three are members of the Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA), and they join the FOXSports.com roster of baseball journalists that already includes BBWAA members Gerry Fraley, Ken Rosenthal, Dayn Perry and Tracy Ringolsby.
“Morosi, Klapisch and McAdam are fantastic additions to FOXSports.com’s lineup of baseball writers, which is already the best in the business,” said Ed Bunnell, Vice President, Programming and Product Development FOXSports.com. “The addition of these three writers builds on our tradition of quality while also increasing quantity.
