* - E!Online tells us that Tom Brady will play himself on HBO's Entourage.

* - Despite last night's routing loss at Villanova to close out their regular season, Providence College (18-12) remains 69th in the RPI this morning. URI (22-8) climbs to 47 as they prep for Saturday's regular season closer against UMass.

* - WEEI.com's Jessica Camerato reports that the Celtics have been deemed the best pro franchise for 2008, according to BizJournals. The criteria? Making money and winning. The Red Sox are 5th while the Patriots are 14th.

* - Jessica's colleague at WEEI.com, Alex Speier has the obligatory Red Sox look at being thankful they didn't make the A-Rod trade.

* - As we opined Thursday, the 49ers could be a destination for TO. (Oakland Tribune)



* - My reason for watching "Dancing with the Stars" is gone now that Nancy O'Dell is out. O'Dell and Jewel are both out after suffering injuries during the practice stage. (Newsday)

* - From our friends at Awful Announcing we get news of the demise and cancellation of Frank TV on TBS. Frank Caliendo will still stay at Fox for the NFL Pregame Show though. At least, we don't get those annoying promos during the MLB playoffs on TBS.

* - Dave Matthews plays Fenway Park on May 29 and 30. Tickets go on sale on March 21 (Boston Herald).
