More distressing news to pass along as the economy has hit us with more cuts to the media -
* - From Sports Media Watch, we get word that XETV in San Diego becomes the first local tv station out there to eliminate their entire sports department.
* - Newspapers aren't doing much better as the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and San Francisco Chronicle face troubling deadlines. (Yahoo Finance)
* - Max Kellerman is out at ESPN 1050 in NY as Colin Cowherd gets more network exposure. The NY Daily News surmises if Max could be heading to WFAN to pair with Mike Francesa.
* - While we are on the subject of ESPN, Sports By Brooks has an interesting post on ESPN Radio possibly charging affiliates for airing the network.
A quick thought as we watch American Idol on Tuesday night - is Paula Abdul drunk? She couldn't walk a straight line coming out in the open. Then, she can't put together a coherent sentence the rest of the night.
Oh my!
