Quick Saturday update: Biden's F-Bomb, Galloway to Pats, Pedroia hurt

A few quick things as I watch Dancing with the Stars on a Saturday night after a full day of fun with the family -

* - Joey Galloway signs with the Pats on a one-year deal, according to the Boston Globe and WDAE. Seems to me, the Pats now have Randy Moss, Greg Lewis and Galloway as down the field burners, albeit older down the field burners.

* - I don't happen to agree with Vice-President Joe Biden on alot of things, but this latest f-bomb controversy is a whole lot about nothing. It's sounds like a couple of guys who know each other well busting on each other. Listen for yourself from Real Clear Politics.

* - Trust me, it's a good thing that both PC and URI lost already in their conference tournaments. With all the new upsets on the bubble (i.e, Temple, USC, Baylor, Maryland, Mississippi State and others), the Friars and Rams wouldn't have gotten in anyway. Be thankful they spared us the drama of waiting until Sunday night. (ESPN.com)

* - Let's hope that Dustin Pedroia's oblique strain is just a mild case as reported in the Boston Globe. Otherwise, it can stay with him the entire season. BTW, it looks like Julio Lugo could miss a month with a torn minuscus in his knee. And so it begins again!

That'll do it for now. Short and sweet!
