Say goodbye to the Big Dance and hello to the NIT Friar Fans!
The Big East Tournament is over today as PC gets routed by Louisville 73-55. This one really wasn't as close as the final score indicates either. The Cardinals shot just 3-19 from 3-point range and turned it over 20 times too!
As for TO's, PC turns it over 26 times, which is amazing considering they turned it over 22 times in the regular season loss at L'ville. You put that together with a woeful 2-17 shooting from the 3-point arc and that spells doom for the Friars who finish up 19-13, not good enough for the NCAA Tournament.
Hopefully, there will be better news for URI as they take on Duquesne tonight in Atlantic City in an A-10 quarterfinal matchup. It's a game the Rams should take and head into Friday's semi-finals. Realistically, URI needs to at least make the finals to have any chance of making the Big Dance.
