A flurry of moves from Foxboro today as Shawn Spring is set to sign with the Pats, according to Shalise Manza Young of the Providence Journal, who was first to report Springs was coming in for a visit last week.
Also, in the fold are former Eagles WR Greg Lewis, who comes via a trade with Philly for a 2009 draft pick. New England also gets an undisclosed 2010 pick as well.
The Pats also resigned safety James Sanders, LB Eric Alexander and punter Chris Hanson.
In sad news for our friend Buddy Andrade, fullback Heath Evans has signed with the New Orleans Saints.
