McGuire will pull double duty, hosting NBC's studio show alongside analyst Mike Milbury on site at Mellon Arena.

The surging Penguins are 8-0-2 in their last 10 games to move into a tie with the Flyers for the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference with the Flyers holding three games in hand.

MCGUIRE ON THE RIVALRY: "It's no secret the animosity between these two teams. They really dislike each other. This game has the potential to get real physical and nasty."

MCGUIRE ON THE STREAKING PENGUINS: "The coaching change has brought some freshness to the dressing room which had become stagnant and maybe even polluted. The tone is now more instructional than through intimidation.

MCGUIRE ON PENGUINS TRADE DEADLINE MOVES: "The GM really made some bold moves in acquiring [Bill] Guerin and [Chris] Kunitz at the deadline. It really energized Sidney Crosby."

MCGUIRE ON THE FLYERS: "This team can go far but a lot will depend on where Marty Biron's head is at come playoff time. Also we know how good their special teams play is but they're going to have to be able to score five-on-five as well.

NBC Tees Up Week Four of Six Straight Weekends of PGA TOUR Coverage

St. Petersburg Times: “It's clear that NBC has the best golf coverage.”

NEW YORK - March 18, 2009 - A world class field, which includes winners of 19 major championships, competes this weekend at the Transitions Championship as NBC Sports tees up week four of six straight weekends of PGA TOUR broadcast coverage, Saturday and Sunday from 3-6 p.m. ET, presented in high definition. The event, held at the Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Fla., has crucial FedEx Cup points at stake.

Host Dan Hicks and analyst Johnny Miller, in their 10th season together as NBC Sports' lead golf announcers, will anchor the coverage from the 18th hole tower. They are joined by tower reporter Gary Koch, a Tampa resident; course reporters Roger Maltbie and Mark Rolfing; and interviewer/essayist Jimmy Roberts. NBC's golf coverage is produced by Tommy Roy, among the most nominated persons in the history of the Sports Emmys.

Past winners of the event in this year's field include Sean O'Hair (2008), Mark Calcavecchia (2007) and Retief Goosen (2003), challenged by Jim Furyk, Steve Stricker, Adam Scott and Nick Watney, who last weekend went toe-to-toe with Phil Mickelson at Doral.

The Copperhead course ranked among the 10 most difficult on the PGA TOUR in 2008.

KOCH ON COPPERHEAD: "It's a very good test of golf. The viewers will be surprised; it's not a typical Florida golf course. It has elevation changes of as much as 30 to 40 feet, very different from what the players usually face in Florida."

DORAL SCORES FOR NBC: NBC Sports' final round coverage of the WGC-CA Championship at Doral earned a 3.4 national rating and an 8 share, the best rating for any golf event, excluding The Masters and U.S. Open, in a year (final round at Bay Hill, 3/16/08, 3.5/8) and a 13 percent increase over the 2008 final round at Doral (3.0/7). The Doral rating was 3 percent higher than the final round of the 2008 British Open (3.3) and 21 percent greater than the final round of 2008 PGA Championship (2.8).
